AREA VI
Core Purpose:  To enhance and protect the benefits of retired teachers .
Area VI is located in the center of California and covers seven counties in the beautiful San Joaquin Valley.
It has large cities and small rural communities with a mainly agricultural economy and a growing and diverse population.  Area VI is proud to be the location of the new campus of the University of California at Merced, the first new research university to be built in this new century.
Members of CRTA in Area VI, have served the children and the communities of this area for many years.  They continue to do so in their retirement, volunteering in schools, supporting new teachers, raising funds for schoarships and working in their communities.
It is the aim of CRTA to enhance and protect the benefits of retired teachers.  As retired educators we maintain an active interest in public eduction and are enthusiastic supporters of it!We think we do a good job of this, but need all retired teachers, administrators, and support staff to join with us in the endeavor.
CRTA Area VI Divisions offer a
sense of community to their members providing a venue to meet with others who have common interests, and the desire to have fun, as well as, a continued purpose .  Please use this web tool to find out where and when a Division near you meets, and become a part of this dynamic organization.
